Friend-meeting_a_Joe

February 7th, we had a joyful gathering at 6 PM!

Last night, we reunited with my classmates from the Travel Guide course, HD33. The meeting was full of laughter and delightful stories that made it truly memorable! Even though most of us have crossed the age of 50, seeing my friends, I felt like they were still in their 30s! Their youthfulness and energy are truly admirable.

I hadn’t seen Anh Chương since before COVID, and it’s been over 10 years since I last met Thanh Hiếu. The flood of old memories overwhelmed me with emotion! As we sat together, sharing stories, it felt like no time had passed at all. We reminisced about the carefree days of our youth, when every moment was an adventure waiting to unfold.

Those days in class were filled with not just lessons, but also laughter, friendship, and dreams. We shared countless silly moments—like when we would prank each other during breaks or the time we got lost on a field trip and ended up discovering a hidden gem of a café. Each story brought back the essence of our bond, reminding us of the unique journey we’ve all taken.

As we talked about our experiences as tour guide classmates on those internship trips, I felt a swell of pride for each of us. We laughed heartily as we recalled the hilarious moments that defined our journey. I couldn’t help but chuckle at the memories of our friends who faced the infamous Madame Quỳnh. I can still see Dũng, trembling on her feet, desperately trying to answer her tricky questions with nonsensical responses. And then there was Hùng, with his classic line, “Nothing to say… as we can see,” leaving us all in fits of laughter! Those moments truly encapsulated the spirit of our time as tourism students—filled with fun, nerves, and a touch of chaos.

We also shared stories about our experiences as guides, and I felt a swell of pride for each of us. We’ve traveled to different corners of the world, met various people, and faced countless challenges. Each journey has shaped us, and our stories echo the resilience and passion that define our profession. I remember the thrill of leading a group through ancient ruins, the joy of watching a sunset over a beautiful landscape, and the satisfaction of sharing a piece of my culture with international visitors.

Additionally, some friends are currently on tours or living in the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, etc. Even though we’re physically apart, the bond we share transcends distance. We will never forget the memories from our school days, a time when everything was simple yet meaningful. Stories about our internship trips always bring us closer, making geographical distances feel insignificant. The laughter we shared, the struggles we overcame, and the dreams we dared to chase—those moments are etched in our hearts forever.

As we parted ways, I felt warmth in my heart and hope for future gatherings. The hugs exchanged felt like a promise to continue nurturing our friendship, regardless of where life takes us. No matter how much time passes, our friendship and memories will forever reside in our hearts.

Looking around at my friends, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Gratitude for the journeys we’ve had together, for the lessons learned, and for the unwavering support we’ve given each other over the years. Each one of us has faced our own battles, yet we’ve always found solace and strength in our shared experiences.

As I reflect on the evening, I am reminded of the beauty of friendship and the importance of staying connected. Life may take us on different paths, but the love and understanding we have for one another will always bring us back together. Here’s to the laughter yet to come, the stories yet to be shared, and the memories yet to be made. Let’s cherish our bond and continue to support each other in all our adventures ahead. Until we meet again!

Wishing you all a peaceful and happy year! I hope we will have many more opportunities to meet and create beautiful memories together in the future! ❤️
